I'm writing to ask if you can help us out. Here in New York, things have been very difficult since 9/11. I personally lost 6 friends on that day one of whom was on the phone with me as the tower he was in collapsed. I wanted to channel my energy into something positive to assist my fellow firefighters and the others who have been affected by this tragedy.
To help out the victims families and others affected by the events of 9/11, we will be holding a charity auction where a good portion of the available items will be autographed photographs and other signed items of various celebrities. We have a few facilities who have offered their establishments but it is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of October 26, 2002. DEAR, ANTHONY HOPKINS, My name is Jim Glazier, from 4308 42 AVE. #20 Rock MTN.. House Alberta, Canada . And I need the help of someone with great influence over people and the resources to convince people they can protect there property. I am not trying to get a hand out, but perhaps some kind of business venture where we both can make money. I have been interested in vehicle security since 1997. I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it. Sir Anthony Hopkins, I hope that you will read this message in the future............ I really believe that you are the best of all the other actors. Every movie you make is perfect.My favourite is "The Silence of the Lamps".I like "Hannibal" very much too. I have wathed "The Silence of the Lamps" a lot of times and I still believe that this movie is very interesting.Every time I watch it, I like it more.I remember the most of your role.Your answers, everything........... "The Silence of the lambs" is still one of my favourite movies and I also enjoyed "Hannibal" in cinema for three times!!! My friends are saying I am crazy, maybe? But I like your other films,too. I love "Shadowlands" and "Howards End". Last week I have seen "August" on TV, which you also directed. Is it true that you have composed the music for this picture? Hi, i have just been to see "Hannibal" last night, and i thought it was great! Brilliant acting, and some of the scenes were satisfyingly gory! No need to say which bit will stick in my mind (hehe), the dinner party scene was brilliant. Superb effects. Anthony has a luvely voice, you could read out the Yellow Pages to me and i wouldn't mind! My name is Mike Parrish. I know you don't have much time so I will make this as brief as possible in hopes that you will read it.
On February 5, 1999, my son passed away. He was 14 years 9 months & 14 days. He's gone forever except from my heart and the depths of my soul. My son "Mikey" was the fourth student of the 1998-1999 eighth grade class of the Kountze Middle School, located in Kountze, Hardin County, Texas to die leaving such a huge and unfillable void.
I was the police chief at the time of my son's passing and shortly after the deaths of all four of these children I began a quest to establish the 2003 Memorial Youth Center in honor of these four beautiful children and their families. It is my hope to one day have this youth center built in the City of Kountze.
It is my request that you will be able to part with any autographed item. I don't care if it's anything from photographs to cereal boxes. Paula Poundstone once donated an autographed breakfast pastry box.
These autographed items will be auctioned and the proceeds will go to the building of the youth center. There are several families who will assist me in this venture. I just want to do something nice for this community in honor of our lost children.
Also, on a personal note, if you can donate items I would appreciate a separate autographed picture for my sons room. This work gives me some sort of fulfillment. That I'm doing something good for the city while honoring my son and the other three children simultaneously. This is a very small town. These four deaths completely shocked the entire community. Please help in any way that you can. If you can't, I understand and God Bless You.
